The following books are required for the course:

Additionally, you will need the following software:
- A version of Visual Basic (Control Creation Edition v5 or Working Edition v6 are free, they come with the text for CIS129)
- Java v1.2 or better (free from java.sun.com, also comes with the text for CIS133)
- Personal Web Server (on your Win98 disk, or free from Microsoft)
- Apache Web Server (free from Apache)
- Tomcat Application Server (free from Apache)
As each software item is introduced, I will include detail directions for obtaining it. If you have trouble downloading it, or would like the software on CD, I can provide a CD with all of the required software for a $5 processing fee.
I tested everything on an IBM Thinkpad Laptop, model 760LD, running Win98SE. It has a Pentium 90 and a 4G hard drive.
